Early Paleocene crabs (Crustacea, Decapoda) from the Middle Vistula Valley, Central Poland

Abstract

For the first time decapod crustaceans are recorded from the Danian of Nasiłów, Middle Vistula Valley, Central Poland. The presence of the species Necrocarcinus senonensis SCHLÜTER, 1868, and the genus Titanocarcinus extends the known paleogeographic distribution of these taxa. A possible phylogeny of the genus Necrocarcinus BELL, 1863, is discussed.
