Abstract

The Carpathian Marginal RegionThe relation of the Carpathian Flysch Marginal Region to the neighbouring Neogene Foreland has been the subject of consideration and discussion among geologists. Direct studies of the structure of that area were rather·difficult owing to the region being covered, and it is no wonder that the conclusions reached were various. The first light on the complicated relations of this Carpathian border zone was thrown by deep oil drillings.
