Abstract

Tertiary remains of fossil wood from Turów on the Lusatian neisse

A description is given of genus Phyllocladoxylon from Tutrów in Poland, whose occurrence in the Tertiary of Europe has not so far been recorded. Phyllocladoxylon polonicum n. sp. is here identified and a comparative compilation of data obtained from studied specimens is presented. An attempt is made to reconstruct the life conditions of Conifers to which the studied lignites are referable.
