O nowym trylobicie z rodzaju Ceraurus i znaczeniu kolców głowowych w ontogenezie i filogenezie trylobitów
Abstract
A new trilobite of the genus Ceraurus and the significance of cephalic spines in the ontogeny and phylogeny of trilobitesThis paper gives a description of a new species of Ceraurus from the Upper Ordovician of the Holy Cross Mts., Poland and of its meraspid stage. The significance of marginal cephalic spines occasionally present in the ontogeny of trilobites is discussed. Conclusions are drown that these spines should be considered as cenogenetic and not palingenetic characters.Downloads
