Abstract

Stratigraphy of the Węglówka unit in the light of its microfaunaAt the locality of Węglówka, the Carpathians, in a tectonic window, the outcrop is reported of a tectonic depth unit, made of Flysch beds showing a different facies than that of beds which have been overthrust. Thus far, variegated Węglówka marls and Lower Cretaceous beds have been differentiated here. Recent boreholes in this area have revealed further series of beds, so that the complete stratigraphic column is now here known. The stratigraphy of the unit here considered has been described on its microfauna.
