Abstract

Directions of orogenic stresses in the border zone· of eastern and Western SudetenThe trend of folds formed within the Central Sudeten area during Caledonian and Variscan orogenic movements is dependent on two preferred orientations occurring in pre-Taconic foldings,·also on orientation of margins of the Sowie Mts. block, but not on the direction of stresses.
