Nowe elementy budowy masywu Czerwonych Wierchów

Abstract

New elements in the structure of the Czerwone Wierchy MassifNew tectonic elements have been distinguihed and traced in the parautochtonous series and the high-tatric Czerwone Wierchy fold within the Czerwone Wierchy massif of Western Tatra. They are the parautochtonous fold of Stoły, the·synclinal fold of Zdziary, also that of Organy as well as their minor tectonic elements and the intervening dislocations and overthrusts. The Organy dislocation is of paramount importance in the structure of the Czerwone Wierchy fold. A new tectonic terminology has been introduced and is discussed in the present paper as applicable in analysing other areas that have an intricate fold-nappe structure.
