Abstract

MlOCENE TUFFlTES IN THE VICINITY OF PlNCZÓW ON THE NlDA-RIVER

Inclusions of bentonitized tuffites were detected in 1953 at Krzyżanowice near Pinczów, to the south of the Holy Cross Mts. associated with marly-argillaceous Tortonian deposits. A detailed description is here given at the profile of these Miocene deposits from Krzyżanowice, based on the investigated Miocene microfauna occurring there, also some notes on the petrography of the discovered tuffogenic products.
