Stosunek płaszczowiny magurskiej do podłoża
Abstract
THE MAGURA NAPPE AND ITS RELATION TO THE SUBSTRATUMOn the evidence of information supplied by deep borings, the survey of geological maps and gravimetric data, the writer analyses the relationship of the Magura nappe to its substratum. In doing so he draws the inference that the Magura nappe forms a moderately thick, uniform mantle, without a root-zone, resting on 5 different, strongly folded tectonic units, which outcrop within numerous tectonic windows distributed throughout the nappe area. Prior to the overthrust of the Magura nappe its substratum experienced two erosion periods. Subsequently thereto it again became folded, jointly with the overthrust nappe, giving rise to upheaved structures.Downloads
