Abstract

TRANSGRESSIVE MIOCENE DEPOSITS IN THE MAKOSZOWY AND THEIR STRATIGRAPHIC POSITIONOn evidence of foraminiferal microfauna from the so called "bottom Makoszowy Mine assemblage", the ale of the Tortonian transgression in the central part of theUpperSilesianBasinhas been referred to the beginning of the supralithothamnian horizon. Microfaunal assemblages of the same type have been recorded from many localities in the vicinity of Kraków and Miechów.
