Abstract

Juglandaceae in a profile from Ochota (Warszawa)

Sporomorphs of five Juglandaceae genera (Juglans, Carya, Pterocarya, Engelhardtia and Platycarya) have been encountered in nearly all the horizons of a profile from Ochota (suburb of Warsaw). The writer’s attempts more closely to identify the fossil sporomorphs are based on results obtained from the investigation of the five above named Recent genera. The species-rich genera have been tentatively divided into groups including species that show relatively closest similarities.
