Abstract

LITHOLOGICAL COMPOSITION OF THE GRAVEL GRADES IN THE BIAŁKA AND CZARNY DUNAJEC (PODHALE)

The lithological composition of the particular gravel grades in the Białka and Czarny Dunajec rivers (Podhale Region) varies distinctly. Downstream the coarsest fraction contains the most resistant elements, i. e. quartzites and granites. In the Czarny Dunajec quartzites are the hardest constituents in this fraction since granites pass into a finer grade, while in the Białka granites continue to predominate within the coarsest grade.
