Abstract

REMARKS ON THE GEOLOGICAL FORM OF THE MT. WŻAR ANDESITES (PIENINY MTS., CARPATHlANS)

Andesites from Mt. Wżar near Czorsztyn occur within the Magura Flysch which built up of Szczawnica- and Sub-Magura beds and of Magura sandstone. The andesites are all intrusive rocks and occur as dykes of two generations. The older phase produced a dyke swarm directed approximately E-W, the dykes of the younger generation had a N-S or SE-NW direction.
