Abstract

Upper Pleistocene deposits in caves of NE Cracow UplandDeposits in the caves of the Cracow Upland may be divided into two sets of strata. The lower one composed of clay and sand is aqueous, the upper one - composed of limestone debris with loam. The upper set results from Upper Pleistocene sedimentation processes in dry caves. Animal remains and some traces of human occupation are common in the upper set. The investigation of this set allows to reconstruct climatic changes during its sedimentation.
