Abstract

Preliminary stratigraphy of the Upper Devonian from boreholes in the western part of the Lublin basin

A preliminary description is given of the stratigraphy of the Upper Devonian series from boreholes Opole Lubelskie 5, Niedrzwica 2 and Niedrzwica 3 In the western part of the Lublin basin. A fauna of brachiopods, pelecypods and goniatites reliably indicates the presence there of the Frasnian, Famennian and Strunian which are represented by mudstones and calcareous siltstones also nodular limestones.
