Abstract

Preliminary stratigraphy of the Upper Devonian from boreholes in the western part of the Lublin basinA preliminary description is given of the stratigraphy of the Upper Devonian series from boreholes Opole Lubelskie 5, Niedrzwica 2 and Niedrzwica 3 In the western part of the Lublin basin. A fauna of brachiopods, pelecypods and goniatites reliably indicates the presence there of the Frasnian, Famennian and Strunian which are represented by mudstones and calcareous siltstones also nodular limestones.
