Abstract

THE LOWER KIMERIDGIAN IN THE CZĘSTOCHOWA REGION (POLISH JURA)The presence is reported of Lower Kimeridgian deposits (Sutneria platynota horizon) from the Polish Jura. This agrees with an earlier opinion, lately often rejected. Differences in the facial development of contemporaneous Jurrasic deposits in the Polish Jura from those in the Holy Cross Mts. are stressed.
