Abstract

STRATIGRAPHY OF LIMESTONES FROM MÓJCZA NEAR KIELCE IN THE HOLY CROSS MTS.The limestones from Mójcza near Kielce in the Holy Cross Mts., so far referred to the Llandeilo and the Caradocian, belong to the Llanvirnian. On the presence of faunal remains they have been divided into three parts: the lower, the middle and the upper. The lower and middle parts correspond to the lower and upper Llanvirnian, while the upper part most probably belongs to the lowermost Llandeilo. Ten faunal remains are described in the chapter dealing with palaeontology: one brachiopod species, eight trilobite species and one cystoid species.
