Abstract

THE KIMMERIDGIAN AND UPPEROST OXFORDIAN IN THE SW MARGINS OF THE HOLY CROSS MTS. (CENTRAL POLAND) PART I STRATIGRAPHYThe present paper is the first, stratigraphic, part of a work in which are discussed the Kimmeridgian and Uppermost Oxfordian deposits in the SW margins of the Holy Cross Mts. and in the anticlines of Chełmo and Smotryszów. It is also the first attempt at an ammonite subdivision of these deposits. The zones of Aulacostephanus mutabilis, Katroliceras divisum, Ataxioceras hypselocyclum, Sutneria platynota and Idoceras planula have been recognized and their ammonite fauna is described.
