THE ORlGIN OF RELIEF OF THE QUATERNARY SUBSTRATUM IN NORTH-WESTERN POMERANIA

Morphology of the Quaternary substratum in north-western Pomerania is strongly diversified in regard of its origin and age of the particular elements. It is a results of a complex superposition in time of the denudation, erosion and tectonic processes that acted with various intensity. The particular elements of this morphology were formed during the early Palaeogene, Pliocene and early Pleistocene (up to the Mindel glaciations and during the Great (Mindel/Riss) and Eemian (Riss/Wòrm) interglacial periods.
