Abstract

PHOTOINTERPRETATlON AND GENESIS OF TBE DISJUNCTIVE STRUCTURES IN THE GRANITE MASSIF OF THE POLISH TATRA MTS.The joints and faults from the Polish part of the High Tatra Mts. have been interpreted an aerial photographs. The results have been compared with those of field investigations. The origin of joints and the directions of tectonic transport along the faults are discussed. The predominant join systems formed during the intrusion of the granite magma and are determined by the primary Hercynian strain pattern in the intrusion and in its metamorphic mantle. Most of the post-Hercynian displacements in the granites were determined by order joints.
