Abstract

STRATIGRAPHICAL AND PALEOGEOGRAPHICAL POSITION OF THE ZECBBTEIN MICROFAUNA IN THE FORE-SUDETIC MONOCLINE Numerous foraminifers occur in limestones and doIomites of the Lower Zechstein (Z1 stage) in the Fore-Sudetic monocline. They are grouped in three horizons which enable a local stratigraphic correlation in the Lublin-Sieroszowice region. The analogies and differences in the composition of the Upper Permian foraminiferal assemblages in various regions allow one for an analysis of palaeogeographical condition of that period.
