Abstract

The dependence of the dips of slopes upon the geological structure in the relief of the vicinity of Krzeszów (Sudetes)

On comparing the geological map with the map of the dip of slopes it is seen that the intersection lines determining the boundaries between the lithological horizons run similarly to the arrangement pattern of patches indicating the virtual dip of slopes. An attempt is here made to explain the formal analogies between these maps, which differ thematically, leading to the conclusion that these analogies are foremost due to the conformity between the tectonic structure and the relief of the area.
