Abstract

Application of aerial photographs in the research of Upper Kimmeridgian in the SW margin of the Holy Cross Mts. 

The methods and the results of the aerial photo interpretation of the Upper Kimmeridgian deposits in the SW margin of the Holy Cross Mts. are presented. In particular the absence is revealed of the Upper Kimmeridgian, 130 m thick deposits from the NW part of the investigated area. These deposits were eroded during the continental period prior to the Middle Cretaceous. Moreover the aerial photo interpretation has provided new data on the structure of the Bizorenda syncline.
